      Description: UTA’s faculty champions will work closely with the UTA Canvas transition team, which includes The Center for Distance Education, OIT, Faculty Affairs and the Provost’s Office, to ensure a smooth conversion of academic courses in their colleges/schools from Blackboard to Canvas. In addition, the faculty champions will: • Participate in Canvas training and share their new skills with their faculty colleagues in their unit and college/school. • Identify issues in their academic unit that may challenge the implementation and work with the transition team to address them. • Be aware and promote high impact teaching practices to impact student success in their college/school. • Serve as the main contact between their department and college and the Canvas transition team. • Help disseminate information to their college/school on Canvas trainings, updates and best practices. • Help track the conversion of courses from Blackboard to Canvas in their college in partnership with the Canvas transition team. • Contribute to decisions which shape the Canvas conversion process for faculty • Engage with reluctant faculty peers to encourage them to use Canvas
