Biography

Mr. Kearny is a full-time Lecturer and has enjoyed teaching responsibilities at UTA since 1996 (Department of Computer Science and Engineering). In Fall 2007, he accepted the invitation to join the Faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering with full-time duties. Mr. Kearny received the B.S. in Electrical Engineering at UTA in 1971 and the M.S.E.E. from the same institution in 1973. After a successful career that spanned some 28 years in the corporate world and as a private business owner, he realized a life-long ambition to return to academics and his first love, teaching, when he returned in 1995 to his alma mater of earlier years to pursue a PhD in the engineering field.

Interests: Digital Logic, Microprocessor/Microcontroller Systems, Analog Circuits, Graph Theory, Algorithms, Data Structures
