Biography

Dr. Joniqua Howard is an energetic researcher whose research is centered on investigating the relationship of heavy metal and organic pollutants in various waterbodies and its association to human health.  She is extremely passionate about active community engagement as well as developing  innovative and engaging/relative science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs for grades gK-12.  Currently, she is working on developing a new authentic learning labatory course for incoming freshman that will be offered in lieu of the traditional introductory chemistry and biology lecture/lab.
