Biography

Competent administrator and educator with over twenty years ofprogressive experience within higher education as a student development practitioner and highly rated classroom instructor at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Proven record of working with students to enhance academic success, personal growth/development, leadership skills, and cultural awareness. Highly successful and creative in planning, developing, and implementing programs, workshops, conferences, and seminars. Effective in development ofpositive cross cultural understanding and exchanges among faculty and staff and their interaction with students of color Teaching interest areas include Black Studies related to education, history and women issues, and Higher Education in terms of student development, multiculturalism, leadership and history Sought out presenter, lecturer, and consultant on issues prevalent to students/faculty of color in higher education and issues related to multiculturalism.
