She continued to teach French at the university level and in the Texas public education system after graduation.

Prior to coming to the University of Texas in Arlington, Professor Téllez taught in a private institution teaching French. Coming to the University of Texas in Arlington has given her the opportunity to share her knowledge to students and to promote her native language, Spanish.

As a Spanish professor, she is always looking for ideas to improve students experience with learning. As a faculty advisor for La Sociedad Hispánica, professor Téllez wants to promote the Hispanic Culture and hopes that students become proud of their heritage.
