Biography

Biography

Born and raised in Germany, Sabine Harvey received her B.A in German and History as well as her M.A. in German Literature from the University of Texas at Arlington after she moved to the United States. At present, Harvey heads the German Section at the Department of Modern Languages as Coordinator of German Studies. Her concentration of interest lies in Literature during the German Classical Period, the era of the Weimar Republic as well as Second Language Acquisition in adults. At UT Arlington, Sabine Harvey teaches Accelerated German in addition to junior and senior level courses.

      Requested to develop a reader on Texas German in collaboration with Drs. Hans Boas, Marc Pierce, Barbara Berthold and Mr. Alexander Lorenz in 2017. Project is still ongoing.
