In the process Aureobasidium pullulans and Arthrobacter sp. were used as biosorbent. • Efficient removal of copper and regeneration of copper from the biosorbent were documented. • Efficiency was compared with the other types of adsorbents. • Batch studies were done with pure and mixed cultures.
