Biography

Susan Hekman is a professor of political science at the University of Texas at Arlington. She received her doctorate at the University of Washington. She has published in the methodology of the social sciences and feminist theory. Beginning with Gender and Knowledge in 1990, she has published five additional books in feminist theory: Moral Voices/Moral Selves, The Future of Differences, Private Selves/Public Identities, Material Feminisms (with Stacy Alaimo) and The Material of Knowledge.
