Biography

I started my nursing career as a Neurosurgical Critical Care Nurse and this lead to an amazing career in the world of organ and tissue donation for over 25 years. I was fortunate to ultimately became the Director for Clinical Services and be a very active leader the industry participating at a national level. I have a passion for donation and transplantation as well as continual learning. I transitioned from donation to transplantation approximately five years ago. I now work full time as the Clinical Program Manager for the Heart and Lung Program at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. I obtained a dual Masters in Nursing Administration and Public Health between UTA and UNT Health Science Center in 2011. I always had an interest in teaching; during 5340 I was partnered with a nursing professor and through this wonderful experience, I decided teaching was another perfect way to continue helping others and to learn!
