        Core curriculum course building upon the rhetorical knowledge and skills established in ENGL 1301. Students invest themselves into an issue of their choosing with the course topic and develop vital research skills as they discover their argument and take a position within the conversation surrounding the issue. Emphasis is placed on understanding and analyzing audience as well as using rhetorical appeals to compose effective arguments.

        *Special topics course: Gender-focused issues.
